There is parking on the pub car park and directly opposite on Dole lane. The walk will be starting at 11:00am so please allow plenty of time. The meal afterwards will be at the Boat yard Pub PR5 0SP. There is a full menu available at www.boatyardhoghton.co.uk. If you can let me know if you are coming to the pub and numbers in your group then I can get the tables booked. There will be the usual collection for HVS and HVC. You are all welcome to join us at The White Lion afterwards for some hot or cold food. We will also be doing the usual collection for HVS and HVC welfare and rescue. Please let me know as soon as possible if you can make it so we can get an idea of numbers and if you want lunch etc so that we can book tables. We'll be meeting at Knott car park which is at the back of the park. Enter the park from the A6, keep on the drive up the house and the main car park is on your right down the hill (its the only turning). Head down this hill but don't turn into the main car park. Keep on the road and follow it round the back and over a cattle grid. This will go up a hill and after 1/4 mile lead to Knott car park next to some woods on the left. Trust me it’s really easy when your there. Viz Wizz North West Fernilee Reservoir Sunday 14th Aug, meet at The Shady Oak Pub Car Park, Fernilee at 11am as the road to the reservoir is tricky to find so we'll convoy from there.

Lunch in The Shady Oak Pub afterwards for anyone that fancies it, i've booked 25 in for all that have replied and a couple of extra spaces for anyone else who comes, We have the restaurant to ourselves as there are so many of us but you cant take your dogs in there only in the doggie room sorry. If it's a warm day i'll try and get us moved outside.

Polymyositis - thank you note from HVC Welfare re our Donation

Just thought you would all like to see the lovely letter from Sue Milsom (HVC Welfare Officer) thanking you all for the £130 donation we collected for the Polymyositis fund when we did our Viz Wizz in Lyme Park earlier this year.

All vizsla owners can help by providing DNA samples. It's simple. Just a phone to Di Addicott or an email (Tel: 01576 202258 or email diane@murrayfield.wanadoo.co.uk) and let her have Sire and Dam information. Dianne will be able to tell you right away if your dog can help with the research and will then send a swab collection kit to you. All you have to do is wipe the inside of the dogs lips a few times with the little swab brush, pop it into the sealed packet and return in the stamped addressed envelope provided!

This research needs enough Vizsla DNa to make it viable and so it is imperative that as many of us as possible co-operate. Go on, get on that phone now!!! You can do it!!

Next Wizz, LYME PARK, Sun May 22nd, 11.00am, Knott End Car PArk

Well haven't had a lot of feedback but the general feeling seems to be that Sun May 22nd is the favourite date for the next Viz WIzz. So lets make that a firm date for you to put in diaries then! Gaz is going to sort out a walk through Lyme Park where we can avoid most of the sheep (may be one or two stretches where they have to be on lead but not too bad).



So will see you all, prompt please, at 11.00am in the

Lyme Park Viz Wiz, Sun 6th March

Sorry for the delay in posting this but have been a bit busy rehoming a youngster and am only just getting back on track now! First of all can I thank you all for coming, it was a really good turnout and the dogs were all so well behaved. Humans and Gingers all had a lot of fun and once again you showed your love of this noble breed by contributing a whopping £130 to HVC Welfare!!! Well Done, your generosity is amazing!

I am now sifting through all the pictures that a good number of you have sent to me and will publish the Slideshow as soon as I can. Will also set the date soon for the Viz Wiz in April!

Next Viz Wizz - Sunday 6th March, 11.00am LYME PARK

Lets hope you can all make our next Viz Wizz at Lyme Park this time on - Sunday 6th March meeting at 11.00am prompt in the top car park (like last time). Full address is as follows:

The walk is a mixture of moorland, woodland and a few small hills so
please make sure you come in supportive footwear. All age and sizes

North West Viz Whizz, Formby, Jan 30th 2011

Lets kick off 2011 with a bumper Viz Whizz and try to get as many Gingers and their owners together at Formby Point EVER!!!

Meet at 11.15am as usual on Sunday 30th Jan 2011, at Lifeboat Road Carpark promptly please. Keeping excited Gingers waiting is not easy!! This walk the collection is for HVC Welfare/Cyprus fund as their are a couple of lovely Viz crosses that we are bringing back over here in June to find them safe loving homes. They are so brutalised over their it is too horrid to go into on here, but trust me, they really need our help.
