Sunday 1st November - Next VizWiz
Hi all
Time to get the Gingers together again! Meeting at 11.15am at Lifeboat Road carpark, Formby Point on Sunday 1st November. Raffling some lovely Viz cards, notelets etc kindly donated by Sue Milson (of the HVC responsible for Viz Welfare as well as lots more!) and our usual collection for Viz Welfare as well. Then we set off for fun and frolics!
Call me or email to let me know to expect you, 07813 641019 and lets make this a really bumper Wizz, the last of 2009 !!! See you all soon.

North West VizWiz - Sunday 16th August 11.30am Formby
Hi all
Time for another get together! Sunday 16th August, usual place and time, Formby, Lifeboat Road car park, 11.20am Prompt please and then we can get all the dogs off and running. Do let me know if you are coming please and then I know how many to expect etc and also could you please bring donations for Viz Rescue as I will be collecting before we set off this time so that I dont have to carry it all the way round!
Many of you were very generous last time (although I think I missed some of you) and we raised £33.00 which Sue Milson sent a lovely letter thanking us for. I will bring it with me for you all to see on Sunday 16th August and I look forward to having another great time with our Ginger boyz and girlies, plus all our honorary Vizzes!
Directions as before:
Directions to Lifeboat Rd Car Park, Formby:
Go to the end of M58 and stay in far right hand lane (Bootle and all docks). Go through first set of Traffic lights and stay in far right hand lane. You will see s right hand turn signed Formby (Police Station on right) turn here and follow road round as it bears to the left (Sefton) and then follow road to the roundabout, take the second exit onto Formby Bypass (A565)For 0.96 miles
Turn right onto Altcar Road (B5195)For 0.46 miles)
Bear left onto Cross Green (B5424)For 0.06 miles
At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Liverpool Road (B5424)For 0.29 miles (Small sign only to Formby)
Turn right onto Raven Meols LaneFor 0.62 miles (DENTALl practice on right just before you turn)
Keep on going and cross over the little level crossing.
Don’t be concerned that you seem to be driving through a housing estate, it is the right way. As you approach the junction before you cross straight over onto Lifeboat Road, you will see Shorrocks Hill Country Club to your left at a small crossroads, the single track lane straight ahead is Lifeboat road as there is no sign at this stage.
Carry on for a few hundred yards and you will then see the sign to the car park, turn right into Car Park and then immediate right into far right of Car park.

Formby Viz Wiz Say 20th June 09
Thanks to all who atttended the walk on Saturday, it was so good to see so many new folk and meet your super boys and girls. It was especially nice to meet 'Indie' the 19 week old (who only did a little bit of the walk because of his age) and we look forward to seeing him again when he will be able to do a little more.
We raised £33.00 for Viz Welfare so for those of you who donated, well done!!! I hope to do another walk at end of July/early August so preferred dates would be welcomed, please drop me a line.
It was another successful day out and I am sure that all the dogs, like mine, were collapsed in big heaps, not long after having their tea!! See you all next time!

Thought you might like to see some more pictures of our last Viz Wiz at Formby. These were sent to me by Richard Shorney. Thanks Rich and Lou and look forward to seeing Ruby race around the beach again soon! The Looney with the stick is my youngster, Monty. He is such a clown!

Next Viz Wiz - Sun 29th March - Formby - Directions
Hi everyone
Well its only a week away now so thought I would give exact directions as I think we have a few new folk attending this time. I was there last weel and the car park was still free but be prepared because they may charge £3.50 if the chaps are on the gate.
Lets hope the weather is kind to us and looking forward to seeing you all. Anyone wishing to donate to Viz Welfare on the day, would be good and I will send a cheque off to Sue but this is purely voluntary. After the walk there is a good pub not far away with a good car park for leaving dogs safely in vehicles, or outside tables if weather permits. All welcome!

Next North West VizWiz - suggested date 29th March
Well its been a while since we had our last get together and as the weather is getting better thought it was time to gather the Gingers together oncec more! Formby beach and Nature park seems to work well with a large or small group so let me know if you are interested in coming along on Sunday 29th March, meet at 11.30 am in the Car Park at Lifeboat road.
I will post more precise directions nearer the time and when I have figured out how to attach a document to this new Blog! I do hope everyone finds this post because it is very different now to the old site. I will also post a note to say all this on the main site (as soon as I have figures out how!)
